Hello Iterative Community,
Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful sunshine over the weekend! On the Iterative Venture side, we’ve been busy hosting some great deals/ events and catching up on the dramatic improvement in the engagement from all of you in our slack community. With that said, stay tight - a lot more exciting things are about to happen! 🚀
What has Iterative Venture been up to?
1st community town hall 🏛 - our core mission is to create a community of entrepreneurship where powerful start-up founders, investors, and the experts converge. Community is our superpower, and supporting the community will always be our #1 priority.
With that said, we are looking for members who are interested in being part of the community committee and growing this together. We will be hosting our second community town hall in the coming Thursday. Anyone with vision/ passion for the community is welcomed!
Please join #community-townhall in the slack community to stay updated or shoot us an email (team@iterativeventure.com) if you’d like to discuss further in person.
Inaugural Founders Series with Couchsurfing CEO 💥 - we are launching the first Speaker Series this Friday (5/7), featuring the Couchsurfing CEO and TedTalk Keynote, Casey Fenton (RSVP here).
Casey Fenton, who spent many years studying collaborative capitalism, is currently founding a new startup called Upstock - a platform to simplify the process of sharing RSU with employees for the goal of enabling more people to have ownership in a company. You may find more information here on why such is needed.
We will host a series by inviting mission-driven founders who can share their vision and promote entrepreneurship and its network within the community. Please do reach out or sign-up if you know of anyone who’d be a good fit as a speaker!
Strategic Partnership and Advisory 🤝 - we’ve been courted by a few VCs in the town (again, #facebookpower) - now we are part of SignalFire’s Emerging Fund program with few other major syndicate leads from big tech companies, and also been in contact with few other VCs (e.g., a giant tree 🌲 ) to discuss future collaboration. Our goal is to continue expanding our strategic partnership with VCs so that we can bring more attractive deals for the community.
At the same time, because many startups are also looking for advisors, please take a moment to complete the following form so we can reach out to you if any of our portfolio companies or prospective deals are looking for your profile!
TMV is leading the seed round for Obviously.ai - a Iterative Venture portfolio company - with the goal of raising $3.6M. You may read more here.
